Registration watch
Western Cape 2027 Senior Certificate registration
The Western Cape Education Department confirms online registration for the June 2027 Senior Certificate examination from 1 October 2026 to 5 February 2027. Applicants in other provinces should confirm the applicable provincial process.
Your academic starting point determines your recommended Fast Learn support pathway. Your number of active subjects determines the monthly price. These are separate decisions.
01
Foundation Support
Foundation Pathway - Grade 9/10 Starting Point
Generally suitable for adults who left school around Grade 9 or Grade 10 and are now working towards their first complete Matric qualification.
Typical recommended preparation: 18 - 24 months
02
Standard Support
Standard Pathway - Grade 11 Starting Point
Generally suitable for adults who reached approximately Grade 11 but did not complete Matric and now require structured preparation towards their first complete qualification.
Typical recommended preparation: 12 - 18 months
03
Completion / Upgrade
Completion / Upgrade Pathway - Previous Matric or Existing Results
For learners who previously wrote Matric, Senior Certificate or another relevant Grade 12 examination, have subject results or credits, or want to complete or improve selected subjects.
Typical recommended preparation: 6 - 12 months
Preparation periods are estimates, not guaranteed completion dates or statutory requirements. These are Fast Learn support categories, not official DBE qualification names. This is a Fast Learn support recommendation and does not replace formal examination or qualification eligibility confirmation.
Whether you want to finish Matric, improve results or return to learning, start by understanding your route. These needs do not automatically establish eligibility.
Left school before completing Matric

Need help understanding which Matric route applies
Know your Matric route
Senior Certificate vs NSC
Both are recognised Matric qualifications, but they follow different routes. Your age, previous schooling, results and School-Based Assessment history determine which route applies.
SC (as amended)
Senior Certificate - Adult Matric route
Designed for qualifying adult candidates. The route normally uses six approved subjects and the final examinations count for 100% because there is no School-Based Assessment component.
Minimum certification requirements
Pass three subjects at 40%, including an official language at Home Language level.
Pass two subjects at 30%, including an official language at First Additional or Home Language level.
Obtain at least 20% in the sixth subject.
NSC
National Senior Certificate - school or rewrite route
The standard school-based Grade 12 qualification. It normally includes seven subjects, including Life Orientation, and combines School-Based Assessment with final examinations.
Minimum certification requirements
Achieve 40% in three subjects, including an official language at Home Language level.
Achieve 30% in three other subjects.
Provide the required School-Based Assessment evidence for the subjects offered.
A minimum Matric pass is not automatically a university entrance pass. Bachelor’s, Diploma and Higher Certificate admission levels have additional mark requirements, and each institution may set its own programme criteria. Fast Learn reviews your history before recommending a route.
Check pathway → choose a plan → review your agreement → pay → enrol. Human support is available throughout.
01
Choose your route
Start independently with the pathway check, or ask a Fast Learn Admissions Advisor to guide you.
02
Confirm your pathway
Your academic history is reviewed and a provisional support pathway is recommended. Uncertain cases go to Admissions.
03
Choose your study load
Select the active subjects you want to prepare now. The number of active subjects determines the monthly price.
04
Use the same agreement
Whether you started alone or with an advisor, you review the same programme, consultation, billing and cancellation terms.
05
Set up secure monthly billing
If eligible, choose the first full payment date, accept the online agreement and complete a refundable R1 card check through Paystack. Assisted invoice or EFT payment can be arranged with Admissions separately.
06
Begin after your first full payment
Your programme becomes active after Paystack confirms the first full monthly charge. Admissions then shares resource access, study guidance and consultation booking instructions.
Fast Learn provides academic preparation and support. Official examination registration is separate from programme enrolment and remains your responsibility with the relevant education authority.

Unused consultations do not automatically accumulate indefinitely. Recurring weekly private lessons and unlimited tutoring are not included.
Additional live revision workshops or academic support clinics may be offered from time to time based on learner needs and programme demand. These are supplementary opportunities; recurring weekly subject classes and class recordings are not guaranteed.

2027 Launch Rates
Adult Matric support from R349/month.
Your monthly fee depends on the number of active subjects in your support plan.
1 Subject Support
1 active subject
R349/ month
For completing, rewriting or improving an individual subject.
First and ongoing full monthly payments are R349, R549 or R749 for 1, 2 - 3 or 4 - 6 active subjects. Eligible online card enrolment starts with a refundable R1 card check, then the full monthly charge begins on the date you choose. No hidden compulsory programme add-ons.
A pathway recommendation helps you select a suitable study load. Full support is generally recommended for a first complete Matric; 2 - 3 subjects can be a staged route. Single-subject support is primarily for existing results, completion or improvement, unless special circumstances are confirmed.
Every plan includes structured Adult Matric support, resources, pathway guidance, study planning, learner support and two targeted one-on-one academic consultations every month, each up to 30 minutes. Consultation booking conditions and full service terms are available in the programme guide and before payment.
Device, data and applicable official or third-party costs are separate. Your support fee does not purchase a Matric certificate or reduce official qualification requirements.
Check your pathway in 2 - 4 minutes, then choose a suitable plan and continue to online enrolment. Admissions remains available for questions or cases needing review.
A pathway check alone does not create a payment obligation. Your programme, subscription and approved cancellation terms must be reviewed before payment.
